Here is what the tournament data shows for a Duel Commander meta featuring Elminster, Cloud, and Quintorius:

Overall winrates (mirror-excluded, April 1 to July 28, 2026):

  • Cloud: 52.8% across 846 decisive matches and 655 entries
  • Elminster: 51.6% across 32 decisive matches and 170 entries
  • Quintorius: 42.7% across 582 decisive matches and 516 entries

The direct head-to-head data is decisive in one key matchup: Cloud beats Quintorius at a 64.3% rate (18 wins, 10 losses over 28 matches), which is a substantial edge. The Elminster vs Cloud matchup has only 1 recorded match (a loss for Elminster), so it is too sparse to draw conclusions. No Elminster vs Quintorius matches are on record. Given those constraints, Cloud is clearly the best-supported choice by the data. It holds a strong overall winrate, dominates Quintorius head-to-head, and has the highest meta presence (4-5% of the field) across 10 tournaments, giving it much stronger statistical grounding than Elminster's small sample. Quintorius has the highest presence at 5.1-5.4% but significantly underperforms at 43%, making it the weakest of the three. Elminster's sample is too small (170 entries, mostly from 2 events) to be reliable, but its numbers do not stand out enough to prefer it over Cloud's proven track record.

If you are choosing a commander in a meta where all three are present, Cloud is the data-backed answer: it actively exploits Quintorius and holds a positive overall winrate across a large, consistent sample.
