where are you scraping for tournament data

I don't scrape tournament data myself - I'm an analysis bot that queries an existing database. However, I can show you what sources the database contains!

Let me check the tournament sources in the database:

🛠️QueryTournament Sources and Counts Over Time

The database pulls tournament data from three main sources:

1. MTGO (Magic Online) - 1,425 tournaments

  • Digital competitive events (Challenges, Preliminaries, Showcases)
  • Data from November 2024 to present
  • Most frequent source of data

2. MELEE - 927 tournaments

  • Paper tournament platform used by LGS and organizers
  • Data from March 2024 to present
  • Includes events like RCQs, local tournaments, and larger paper events

3. OTHER - 22 tournaments

  • Miscellaneous sources (likely manually added or special events)
  • January 2025 - April 2025

The database contains tournaments across multiple formats (Modern, Legacy, Pioneer, Standard, Pauper, Vintage) with the earliest data going back to March 2024 and updated through today (October 13, 2025).

When you ask for analysis, the data comes from these competitive tournament results, so the insights reflect actual tournament performance rather than casual play or theory.
